Istanbul: Sekurang-kurangnya 10 terbunuh dan 15 lagi cedera akibat letupan bom yang berlaku di kawasan pelancongan terkemuka Turki, Sultanahmet di sini, yang dipercayai dilakukan penyerang nekad, petang tadi.

Stesen televisyen kerajaan, TRT, melaporkan seorang pegawai kerajaan berkata serangan bom itu ada kaitan dengan pengganas, berkemungkinan Negara Islam (IS).

Letupan bom itu berlaku di sebuah dataran kira-kira 25 meter dari masjid bersejarah, Masjid Biru.

Menurut agensi berita Turki, Dogan, sekurang-kurangnya enam rakyat Jerman, seorang rakyat Norway dan seorang dari Peru antara yang cedera. Setakat ini belum diketahui warganegara mangsa yang terbunuh.

Seperti serangan bom sebelum ini, pihak berkuasa melaksanakan sekatan media menghalang penyiaran imej mangsa yang mati atau cedera serta melaporkan dengan lengkap kejadian itu.

Tahun lalu, tiga dua serangan bom berlaku di Turki dengan letupan pada Julai di Suruc, di sempadan Turki dengan Syria menyebabkan lebih 30 kematian.

Dua lagi serangan bom berlaku Oktober lalu, di luar stesen kereta api di Ankara menyebabkan lebih 100 terbunuh, dipercayai dilakukan Negara Islam (IS). - AP
